Pro basketball

In the world of US pro basketball, the name of the Orlando Magic will always ring a bell because it was able to lure some big names in American pro basketball to its ranks. The towering Shaquille O’Neal first played for the Orlando Magic before becoming a free agent. Penny Hardaway also joined O’Neal in the ranks of the Orlando Magic eventually, making this pro basketball team a dangerous contender in the NBA. However, the grueling competitive nature of the NBA has prevented the Orlando Magic team from being able to reach their dream of becoming NBA champions. This may be because in US pro basketball the effectiveness of your team depends on getting very talented players who have the right combination of skills to offer.

Shaquille O’Neal

Often called simply Shaq, Shaquille O’Neal is definitely one American basketball player who has become a legend in the NBA from his first year of play onwards. He started out with the Orlando Magic, fresh from his college days at the Louisiana State University (where he left his degree unfinished to pursue an NBA career full-time.) Though he eventually left the Orlando Magic to get better options as a free agent, Shaquille O’Neal didn’t forget his alma mater and did return to Louisiana State University in year 2000 to graduate with a BA in General Studies. Eventually, Shaquille O’Neal became part of that school’s Hall of Fame. Though still a force to contend with, Shaq now has to compete against younger players in the NBA.
