Universal Studios Florida

Don’t get confused if people seem to interchangeably use the names Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Florida – because both names refer to the same theme park complex. Whether you call the place Universal Studios Orlando or Universal Studios Florida, the place thrives anyway as one of the best of the world’s theme parks right now. This theme park formally opened its doors to visitors in 1990. One disadvantage that comes with its current popularity is that tourists have to queue up in long lines just to get their tickets, so that may sour the thrill of the vacation for some. Try to come during the off-season (meaning, not in summer) so the lines at the Universal Studios Orlando rides are shorter for you then.

Rides and attractions

As part of the Universal Studios chain of theme parks all over the world, Universal Studios Orlando has various rides and attractions which appeal to visitors of all ages. Under the Production Central category, you will find Shrek 4-D and Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast. The Woody Woodpeckers Kid Zone offers the most rides and attractions in the whole theme park. Under the San Francisco and Amity category, you could participate in either the Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Review, the Earthquake: The Big One, Fear Factor LIVE, or simply Jaws. Hollywood gives you a chance to see Lucy – A Tribute, Terminator 2:3-D, and the Universal Horror Make-up Show. In spring 2008, The Simpsons are introduced to the public via the World Expo category. Men in Black: Alien Attack is offered under this category.
