Traffic

Traffic congestion seems to have marked the history of Orlando transportation for years which is why Orlando, Florida is known for heavy traffic. The traffic situation is unpredictable, though peak hours for traffic congestion seem to revolve around the 7am weekday rush hour and the 4 pm afternoon rush hour. The poor state of traffic management has led public services to be created to provide traffic advisory to Orlando residents.

Light rail system

There is talk that a light rail system should be set up within Orlando so that residents can get around the city much faster and in a more convenient way. This would certain change the history of Orlando transportation significantly. The problem is though that major Orlando leaders find it hard to come to a consensus as to the layout of the prospective light rail system. There are also residents who feel that much of the laid-back charm of Orlando would disappear with the construction of a light rail system.
