Lovers of pool can go to Sportstown Billiards. This bar lives up to its name with pool tables scattered all over.
It looks like a renovated warehouse with pictures adorning its walls. Tube lights and television sets give it a cluttered effect.
Established way back in 1958, this legendary bar has hosted many great pool players. In the 1950s and 60s, it was renowned for serving greasy food but served the greatest hamburgers in town.
When dusk descends serious players flock in and the place comes alive. A huge specials list and the 'smoking allowed' sign ensures a crowd even on weekdays. There's free pool for 18 and above on weekends and 21 and above on weekdays, from noon- 4p. With daily pint specials and imported beers, Sportstown Billiards doesn't disappoint.
